For Belal Shaher, design is emotion carved into form.

With sketches born from silence and inspiration drawn from the rhythm of life itself, he envisioned a watch that would not just display time but sing it.

Working side-by-side with Grandeur’s engineers, every bridge, hammer, and screw was re-imagined — not copied, but created — until the mechanism itself became art.

At the core of the Grandeur 5-Minute Repeater lies a choice between two classical Swiss engines — each re-interpreted and refined by Grandeur’s own atelier.

The first, the ETA 6497, offers commanding architecture and generous torque — ideal for expressive resonance and mechanical presence.

Its broad bridges and deliberate 18 000 vph beat provide the repeater with powerful stability and a calm, unhurried rhythm.

The second, the ETA 7001, embodies slender elegance and finesse.

Compact yet precise, it allows for a thinner case profile while maintaining flawless energy transmission to the repeater module.

Each movement, whether 6497 or 7001, is completely re-worked in-house — beveled, polished, and adorned with traditional finishes such as côtes de Genève, perlage, and heat-blued screws.

Together they represent two interpretations of the same philosophy:

one robust and orchestral, the other refined and lyrical — both unmistakably Grandeur.

Above this classical heart lies Grandeur’s original creation: the Grandeur Repeater Module — a mechanical composition designed, developed, and assembled entirely within our own atelier.

Every lever, spring, and rack is a product of Grandeur’s engineering ingenuity, shaped to perform with long-term reliability and artistic refinement.

To ensure the finest possible sound, certain acoustic components — such as the gongs and hammers — are sourced directly from Switzerland, where traditional metallurgical expertise continues to define the world’s finest chiming watches.

The result is a movement that embodies both Grandeur’s independent innovation and the timeless Swiss tradition of tonal excellence — functioning with the purity of a classical 5-minute repeater, yet speaking in a distinctly Grandeur voice: warm, balanced, and unmistakably alive.

To awaken the melody, the wearer performs a graceful gesture — rotating the bezel itself.

This rotation winds a dedicated spring hidden within the repeater module, a separate reservoir of power reserved solely for the chime.

Once tension is stored, the mechanism comes alive: a silent flywheel regulator governs the tempo, letting each note unfold in perfect rhythm — never rushed, never delayed.

Hours sound first in deep single tones, followed by the lyrical “ding-dong” pairs of each five-minute interval —

a poetic translation of time into sound.

3:15 → three low strikes + three double tones.

11:50 → eleven low strikes + ten double tones.

The motion of the bezel — deliberate and tactile — becomes part of the performance itself.

Each activation is a dialogue between the hand and the mechanism, between the designer’s vision and the listener’s emotion.

The case — a dialogue of brushed and polished Grade 5 titanium — shelters a sapphire dial with a subtle tint that reveals the movement beneath.

Front and back sapphire crystals transform the watch into a living sculpture of gears, light, and sound.

The crocodile leather strap completes the ensemble with quiet nobility — grounding modern innovation in timeless elegance.
